TUTUS!!!

This has actually consumed a large portion of my time in the last two weeks as I have made like 20 of these! I figured they would be great to decorate the nursery in, and Isla can wear them as well! They are super easy and fun.
I had my mom and husband pick up the tulle and ribbon for me, it comes in so many fun colors and you can even get it with prints or glitter!
All you have to do is cut a piece of ribbon at about 56 inches. (This will give you a 16 inch waist which should fit a child 0-12 mos.) Tie a knot at 20 inches then leave 16 inches in the middle tying off another 20 at the other end. You are going to tie the tulle on in the middle section leaving the two 20 inch ends to tie a bow.
It is easiest to work with tulle off a six inch spool and I believe it will give you the best result. You are going to need 30yards of tulle for this tutu. Cut the tulle off the spool in 16 inch sections. Once all 30 yards are cut you can begin to tie the tulle onto the ribbon. Put two pieces of tulle evenly together and tie them onto the ribbon so that the ends go in the same direction. keep doing this all the way down until you reach the other knot! Thats all there is to it!
This may be hard to understand but if you type tutu tutorial into youtube its easier to see someone do it so you can see it for yourself! Still a great idea for a bedridden pregnancy!
